Hello, on this page i'm taking the liberty of explaining why i've decided to launch a website dedicated to Final Fantasy XI. I'm a college student in Venezuela, South America. I live in Maracaibo and have been a fan of MMORPGs for years and my latest is ofcourse, FFXI. I've been struggling with the idea of making a website for a while now but never had a topic on which to build on. I had tried anime, web developing, programming, all into one... but it lacked the focus I needed to really be able to build anything. As it turns out i'm taking a course in school (which btw, has nothing to do with web developing), but has everything to do with Information Systems. This course spans from 2 others and explains in detail everything that has to do with Information Systems, from the methodology down to the testing of the finished product. So I decided my project would be a website, hence why i'm doing this and building this. I also want it to be more than just a project that dies after I pass the course, i'd like for it to be part of the FFXI online community and help others out. I'm aware that there are lots of other websites devoted to FFXI, I browse them daily, however, i'm going to be trying to add several new elements that i haven't seen on other websites. If anyone would like to help me build on this site drop me a line here so we can discuss things. There are still lots of ideas i have in mind but its hard for me to do it on my own. I want to build a good and accurate Quest database and Good Mission guides. Gather up a lot of the Synthesis recipies and make a solid database with their results and the effects they may have. Something i'm already working on is a Online Weapon Skill Chain Viewer. I see all these WS Chain tables and I thought, why not make an interactive one. Another project i want to make is an updated Stat Calculator, that will not only show your stats, but also the combination of Spells, Abilities and Job Traits for each Job/SubJob Combo.

I'd also like to add here a small disclaimer. All the data i've found and gathered, i've done by testing in the game, reading material from other websites and reading up from the articles in the PlayOnline Tribune. I in no way am trying to take merit from anyone here. I just want to compile mine and everyone's knowledge into 1 place for easy access by me and any one else that doesn't want to be jumping thru very busy sites.
